TOPIC: A LIFE DESTINED FOR GREATNESS
TEXT: GENESIS 26:1-17

Take time out to appreciate the goodness of the Lord. He has been good to us. O Lord our God, we have come before you. Let our joy come, let our blessing come.
PRAYER POINT:
Delilah saw the glory of Samson and she destroyed it.( Lift up your right hand) Declare this : Anyone that has seen my glory before me and having the intent to destroy it – That individual is destroyed in Jesus’name Amen.

MESSAGE :
I want to appreciate everyone that has supported this program spiritually, morally and financially. All the Youth Executives are also deeply appreciated.
From our main text- Gen 26:12-13, Isaac became very great. You will be very great in Jesus’name Amen.
God decides destinies. He knows everything about you and your family. Your destiny and your glory will shine in Jesus’name. Amen
– Destiny is what God created you to be.
– Destiny is God’s original plan before you were created.
– Destiny is God’s divine purpose before you were created.
– Destiny is God’s placement in your life.
– Destiny is your assignment on earth.
– Destiny is the picture that God had in mind before your creation.
Greatness comes from the word great which means :
-Uncommon exploit
-Uncommon excellence in doing things
– Uncommon impact in people’s life
– Uncommon wonderful influence.
Greatness to God according to Gen 26:13-14 means increase widely, influence and prosperity. These are seen in the lives of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This prosperity is trans-generational. Abraham’s seeds were blessed from generation to generation.
You are the seed of Abraham. You are greatly blessed in Jesus’name Amen. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, all knew the secret of Greatness and they maximize it in God. I declared that the secret of your destiny that will make you discover your Greatness will be seen by you in Jesus’name Amen.
The secret of your own destiny may be quite different from another person. You must not copy another individual. Be unique. True Greatness has the following :
1. Knowing the Lord your God (Jer 5:5)
2. Obey God’s Word completely (Matt 5:19)
3. Do the will of God from the heart.
4. Contribute greatly to people’s lives (Make positive impact Prov 5:17)
5. Have a servant heart (Matt 20:26-27)
6. Discovering your purpose and fulfilling it.
7. Manifest your potential and leave a legacy
You have been called and chosen by God. Remember that Jesus comes from the seed of Abraham. Once you give your life to Jesus (Gal 3:9), you have the seed of Greatness in you.
As long as you are Born Again, you are a great person. The salvation of your soul is the beginning of your Greatness. The Lord will increase your Greatness and comfort you on every side (Ps 71:21).
You need the anointing of the Holy Spirit that will propel you for greatness. Abraham left His father’s house and embark on a journey of Greatness (Gen 12:2). But Isaac was asked to wait patiently (Gen 26:1-2) and His Greatness came through obedience. While the Greatness of Jacob was activated through the service that he rendered in Laban’s house.
Joseph’s case was unique, he discovered the secret through his dream. He followed it up and he was great. He became the prime minister in Egypt at the age of 30. Hence, my own journey of Greatness may be different from yours but it’s the same covenant but different divine style as God has directed it.
It’s your responsibility to discover so that you can recover. It does not matter what you or your family may be passing through presently because you have the seed of Greatness in you already. You can have this seed in you and derailed if you are not genuinely born again. If you are not focused, you can wreck this glorious destiny.
Take a close look at Joseph and Samson. Joseph obeyed God completely by not sinning against his master’s wife. But Samson missed it. I pray that the Lord will give you the grace to overcome temptation in Jesus’name Amen.
ATTRIBUTES OF GREATNESS
1. Have a dream or vision
2. Be motivated by your dream
3. Have faith in God Eph 6:16
4. Be completely obedient to God.
5. Desire it. Don’t be satisfy with the average life.
6. Engage in fasting and prayer (Is 58:6-10)
7. Have the mindset and attitude that God can do all things. Honour God with everything because He is the source of all greatness.
8. Honour God with your gifts and talents. He owns them.
9. Always seek God in everything.
10. Trust God for greatness. Seek His Kingdom first (Matt 6:33), others are mere addition.
Pray for God’s mercy and forgiveness. The things that you have been doing that does not please God should be stopped by you. Ask for His great grace to live a life that will be pleasing to Him alone in Jesus’name Amen.
