MINISTER : Pst Isaac Oladeji (Upper Room Parish )

To be destined is having a future which has been decided or planned at an earlier time. Greatness is something very good, fantastic and brilliant. For you to be great, know your purpose and affect the life of others. Have the ability to maximize your potential for the glory of God.

Every human being wants to be great. The position of Greatness has been prepared for some people. Those people must access their Greatness in God. You need the grace of God to be great and grace is gotten from humility. God resists the proud (James 4:6).

Those that God destined to be great must be like God knowing God’s agenda to advance His kingdom on earth. God is always looking for men and women whom He wants to make great, they will manifest His glory in His Kingdom. How do you know that you are destined for greatness?

Genesis 1: 28. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
You are created for greatness and you have the seed of Greatness in you.

The seed of Greatness of one person is different from another person. It is your responsibility to identify this seed early in life. It will bring you fulfillment. Take ownership of your seed. Nothing shall be impossible for you (Matt 17:20).Don’t be ashamed of your seed and vision. Sow your seed. It might be done in pain and suffering but at the end, it will speak(2 Tim 1:6-7)

Daily sow your seed to meet other people’s need. Study (Judges 6, Hab 2:3). Your vision will speak at the appointed time. Be patient to allow your seed to grow( Lk 12:16-21). Don’t run another man’s race and don’t envy anybody’s seed. Surrender yourself to Jesus first.

The Lord has engraved you in the palms of His hand (Isaiah 49:16). From the moment you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you’ve become God’s marvelous light. Stand for the core values of God which are: Love, mercy, purity, righteousness, holiness. Study these: Matt 5:7-8, Matt 7:22, 1Tim 4:12, Col 3:1-9, Mk 16:15-18, Rev 5:8-10.

Learn to maintain purity in your words and actions. Keep the commandments and precepts of God and you will be made great. Daniel, Esther and Joseph were all made great. We are to learn from their faith. I pray that God’s grace will overshadow us. He will bring out the Greatness in us in Jesus’name Amen.
